What Do You Think About This?

Feedback Wanted: Please Start a Discussion!

Knowing what you think helps me gear articles to what readers are looking for.

It can be a little daunting to be the first one who comments on an article by starting a discussion. I often feel that unless I have something world-rocking to say, I'm just going to keep my thoughts to myself.

But its tough to write, especially for a topic like Youth Development, in a vacuum. I know how many people check out a certain article, but I have no idea what they think of it. Numbers only tell part of the story. Is there more information you would like? Do you have a question about something? Would you like to hear about this issue from another angle? Chances are, if you do, someone else does, too.

For example, I know a lot of people have been checking out the article on Tobacco Advertising, which makes me think that another article on a related topic would also be popular. But what would that be? Advertising specifically to one gender? Advertising strategies that are used? Legal restrictions on tobacco advertising? More ways to help kids become media savvy?

I welcome the chance to hear your feedback. Please start a discussion, even if it's only a sentence or two. Let me know what you did or did not like, and where you think the topic needs to go next. My writing is for you, the people that work with kids, and you know best what your needs are. Also please feel free to email me if you have a question or suggestion that is not related to a specific article. Thanks!
